Happy St. David's Day, spring is well on the way though not today as its raining, oh how very welsh, never mind it's a good excuse to drink more tea.

Found these pretty ladies hanging about in Soho's cloth house store, what a paradise this shop is for all fabric lovers!  Apparently the dresses are lemon yellow but I just adore the layers as inspiration for a future project I can feel bubbling.

I'm off to Sussex this weekend to celebrate 40 years of friendship with my childhood best friend.  Then a hop to London's west end for a little of Ruby Wax's mindfulness Tour just for good measure.  Mind you I think we already know the mindfulness behind a true friendship.........

Just returning to my studio after 2 weeks of birthdays - this piece has been complete for a while now but still feels fresh to my eyes!  Thank you Maven Patterns for the Maria Wrap Apron, its been pleasure to make up.

A quiet summer for stitching

As with most summers I temporarily relinquish my sewing to spend time with my happy family...

This year my eldest boy of 20 years was ready to fly the nest.  So after we wished him farewell the other 2 lovelies and I floated through the summer months somewhere between friends and adventures until it was time to put the uniforms on again!

I did however manage to grow a small crop of tomatoes, what a delight they are, just the colour to enter the autumn with.
